The Aggie Reader newsletter won Gold at the Educational Advertising Awards, and the Davis Dish won silver. Manage the 2 newsletters, The Davis Dish (monthly) and The Aggie Reader (biweekly) for UC Davis. Wrote the copy, chose the photos, and designed the layout. Created more engaging subject lines and content and saw an increase in open and click-through rates.

The Davis Dish is a monthly dining newsletter sent out to 1,300 UC Davis students and staff. We share what’s happening in dining that month, supporting local, food resources on campus, dining news, dining on campus 101, feedback and dining deals on campus. For September 2024 through August 2025, the open rate for the Davis Dish was 77.7% and the CTR was 6.5%. According to Constant Contact, the average open rate for dining and food services emails is 34%, with a click-through rate of .7%, so the Davis Dish is much higher.

The Aggie Reader is a biweekly newsletter that goes out to 11,000 UC Davis students and staff. We discuss everything housing and dining on campus, including important dates, news, upcoming events, upcoming athletics games, student jobs, sustainability, first-year experience and more. For September 2024 through June 2025, the open rate for the Aggie Reader was 84.2% and the CTR was 6.3%. According to Constant Contact, the average open rate for dining and food services emails is 34%, with a click-through rate of .7%, so the Aggie Reader is much higher.
